Yoga and Counseling

Yoga can be combined with counseling to support many issues such as general stress and self-care, anxiety, depression, physical health concerns, body image issues, trauma and insomnia. Whatever you need, following an assessment session, we can customize a service as a one time meeting or with the frequency that fits best for you.

Yoga Background:

Practicing yoga personally for many years, I completed a 200-hour teacher training with Samarya Yoga, Seattle in 2015, with an emphasis on yoga as a healing modality. Also working as a counselor, I have been guiding others in relaxation, stress management and mindfulness practices for many years. I invite intuitive exploration and self-discovery, and love to offer modifications with attention on healthy alignment and comfort so everyone can enjoy the benefits of yoga. Yoga support may include physical yoga practices of postures (asana) and breathwork (pranayam), and timeless wisdom to assist participants in cultivating their self-connection. Both yoga mat and chair options are available for Asanas. Styles offered include slow and gentle hatha, beginner-moderate vinyasa flow, elements of yin, restorative and therapeutic practices, as well as both guided and silent meditation. I love to customize yoga themes and practices to meet the needs of the individual.
